• Just Friends

  From the mind of RM Hamilton(me) comes a piece from my Creative Writing Project called... The way it should be.I got an A on my project witch of course is a great thing.And being the writer I am I would like to share with you my favorite piece from that project.(I warn all the guys reading this it is kinda romantic-at least I think so). It is called Just Friends and its a poem.

  Just Friends

  My friend and I stare in the

  remote darkness of this abandoned

  house watching the far off tiny

  stars wink out, one by one, giving life to

  daybreak. He says

  the stars become lifeless when

  they leave the night sky. He thinks

  the little stars wink and smile

  through the night like mindless robots

  and when they fall from the sky

  it is only to make me smile.

  But Jacob is naive and lonely

  and he thinks the world is in is hand.

  He does to realize

  what I believe to be true,

  that the stars wink and smile

  to give me a chance

  to share my real feelings with him-

  my friend who does not hold the world in his hand,

  but who hold my heart instead.

  As the last star fades away

  I tell him what is in my mind

  and the house that we had been camping out in

  somehow becomes a home

  just by the touch of two hands,

  two hearts,

  that had felt the same way

  for what seemed like forever.,

  but now knew each other better,

  because of the mindless robot stars,

  that winked and smiled,

  and that

  died with the dawn.
